About Me

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my portfolio!

My name is Johann Fregin, and I’m a Landscape Architecture (B. Eng.) based in Stuttgart, Germany.
I enjoy traveling and photographing the landscapes and cities I encounter, capturing the beauty of each place.

Growing up in different countries allowed me to experience diverse cultures, which continue to inspire my work. I spent many summers exploring the city of Rome and its surrounding landscapes, especially Villa d’Este, a masterpiece of Italian garden design with its fountains and water features. These early experiences sparked my passion for landscapes and inspired me to pursue a career as a landscape architect. Moving to Stuttgart at a young age, I discovered modern German architecture, including the Weissenhof Estate, which introduced me to Le Corbusier and the principles of simplicity and efficiency in design.

“I believe that as landscape architects, we shape the earth with creativity, transforming nature into spaces that inspire, heal, and connect people to the world around them.”
